Captain Liam Devlin is a superyacht captain, expedition leader, and maritime educator with over 25 years at sea — and one of the industry's most distinctive voices on leadership, crew culture, and the future of yachting.
His career began on the coastline of Byron Bay, Australia, as a PADI dive instructor — an early professional life defined by leading people through unfamiliar environments and developing a deep, personal connection to the ocean. From there, he progressed systematically through maritime ranks to achieve command of luxury superyachts operating across the world's most prestigious and demanding cruising grounds.
Today, Captain Liam's focus extends well beyond operations. Through his weekly newsletter Check-In Tuesday, his podcast Captain's Chat, his growing online course library, and a platform of consulting and speaking work, he is building the maritime industry's most comprehensive independent voice on leadership development, crew wellness, environmental stewardship, and AI integration in yachting.
